Roadmap

Roadmaps built on outcomes, not feature lists

Show what you are betting on and why: opportunities placed as Now, Next and Later under the outcome they serve, and a delivery timeline of the releases your team is building.

Now / Next / Later roadmap: opportunities placed as bets under each product outcome

How it works

  1. Lanes are your outcomes

Each product outcome is a lane, with its metric next to it, so every bet shows the goal it serves.

  2. Place opportunities as bets

Opportunities from the tree start unplaced: drag them into Now, Next or Later. Each card shows its state, persona and solutions.

  3. See delivery on a timeline

The delivery tab shows the releases you sliced in your story maps, with their dates and progress. Drag a release to reschedule it.

Questions

What is a Now / Next / Later roadmap?
A roadmap that sorts work by commitment instead of dates: what you are pursuing now, what is lining up next, and what is on the radar for later. It suits discovery, where dates would be guesses.
Where do the delivery dates come from?
From the release slices you schedule in your user story maps. Rescheduling on the roadmap updates the release.
